Noticeboard

Anyone approaching or entering the surgery building must now wear a covering over their nose & mouth; whether it be to attend an appointment, collect a prescription, or to act as a chaperone.

Please do not arrive EARLY for your appointment.  In accordance with current social distancing guidelines, we are not permitting patients to wait inside the building. You may be asked to return to your vehicle and wait for your clinician to become available.  Please therefore be mindful of the weather conditions when setting out and come prepared.

We would like to thank you all for your understanding and support during these challenging times.  We continue to do our upmost to ensure we offer high standard healthcare in a manner that is safe for both patients and our dedicated staff.

Flu Vaccinations Autumn/Winter 2020

We are still busy booking appointments for flu vaccinations.

Due to Covid-19 we are running our flu clinics slightly differently this year, with enhanced safety measures and social distancing, to minimise the risk to both your health and ours.

Our second vaccine delivery for the over 65 age group arrived on 16th October, but we are not due to receive the vaccine for the Under 65 at risk group until the end of October at the earliest. We will continue dedicated vaccination clinics, primarily on Saturdays, throughout the autumn season.

All clinics will continue to be by appointment only, managed by a bookings team via a dedicated telephone line, separate to our main surgery number.  Please try to avoid contacting our reception team to book or enquire about a flu vaccination; bear in mind they are trying to deal with patients who require medical assistance and also they may not have access to the flu clinic appointment schedules.

We are experiencing a higher than usual demand for vaccinations this year and so we have tried to ensure that patients in the highest risk groups received an invite and were/will be vaccinated first.  We have sent invitations via email and/or text message to those eligible patients who have given us permission to do so.  For those who haven't, a letter has been sent via Royal Mail.

We are now able to offer flu vaccinations to the 50-64 age group.  We will be holding a further clinic on Saturday 12th December. Invitations will be going out very soon. Appointments can be requested via our Flu Line: 01794 885275 Monday to Friday between 09:00 & 16:00. We anticipate that the line will be very busy, so please bear with us

Administration

Our Administration Team are responsible for keeping your medical records accurate and up to date by ensuring that information from external parties is correctly added to your records. They also invite patients in for their annual reviews or healthchecks when necessary and manage the changes in electronic communication with our patients.

Reception

As the first point of contact, our reception team will make every effort to ensure you are seen by the most appropriate clinician for the right amount of time and seen by clinical priority, not just ‘first come, first seen.’ As a result, the receptionists will be asking you a few more questions than they may have done in the past. Their roles require a great depth and breadth of knowledge to ensure they provide you with a full service from arranging appointments, registering new patients, disseminating test results, chasing up actions or follow-ups from hospital letters to name but a few.
